~ Sample 10-Day Itinerary ~

Day 1

You arrive at Buenos Aires’ international airport (EZE), where a luxury car greets you for the easy 30-minute ride downtown to the opulent Duhau Palace, Park Hyatt Buenos Aires in the heart of the city.

The Duhau staff presents you with a welcome cocktail and you unwind in the Palace gardens. As other guests arrive, you decide between treatments in the spa or a guided tour of his hometown by Talo himself.

For dinner, we meet at a typical Argentinean parrilla (barbeque) for the first tastes of local food — and, of course, Malbec.

The Crystal Room at Duhau Palace, Park Hyatt Buenos Aires.

Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel or around town, you choose your preferred city tour — visit the historic Recoleta Cemetary? Teatro Colón? Carlos Thays’ Botanical Garden? The city is yours to explore.

Special lunches are arranged for groups, and the adventurous have gone scouting the Chef’s favorite restaurants.

In the afternoon, do you lounge at the hotel spa, stroll around the city and visit the markets, enjoy a café patio, or perhaps visit the racetrack?

For dinner, an exquisite meal (the Chef has picked out a real treat) and, of course, a tango show — a visit to Buenos Aires is never complete without an evening of tango.

Day 3

You enjoy breakfast in bed or al fresco on the hotel’s terrace.

A black car escorts you to the Buenos Aires domestic airport, Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, where we board our private charter flight to Patagonia.

We are received at the Bariloche airport in San Carlos where a car transfers you to the exclusive Relais & Chateaux property of Las Balsas located on Nahuel Huapi Lake in Villa La Angostura. This is the first of our two entirely private resort stays.

After settling into your suite and exploring the beautiful property, Chef Talo invites you to a welcome dinner — multiple courses with wine pairings and dessert.

Las Balasas sits on the shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake in Villa La Angostura.

Day 4

We breakfast on the stunning grounds of Las Balsas.

To get acquainted, you take a tour of Villa La Angostura — a Swiss-Chalet style town and the first national park in Argentina.

The afternoon is spent relaxing and soaking up the views and enjoying treatments at the spa.

For dinner, Chef Talo presents you with the Argentinean asado — an Argentinian specialty of meats grilled over open fire. It is a celebration typically enjoyed on Sunday family gatherings and it is as much show as it is culinary delight.

Day 5

Today, you choose breakfast in bed — a leisurely start to an adventurous day.

For the day’s activity, we take to the lake and enjoy a rustic picnic-(in)-style lunch crafted by Chef Talo — understated luxury.

In the evening, you dine with the group at Las Balsas — a restaurant known as a “gastronomic icon of the region.”

Canoeing on Lake Nahuel Huapi at the base of the Andes Mountains.

Day 6

This morning, do you rise early for a mountain hike or soak in the heated outdoor pool?

After a final lunch at Las Balsas, we depart for a gorgeous journey through the Patagonian landscape on a route known as the “Seven Lakes Grand Circuit.” You snap photos as we pass four of the seven magnificent lakes, a handful of charming towns, green forests, tundras, and a waterfall.

In the afternoon, we arrive at the Tipiliuke Lodge — a world-renowned resort that we have all to ourselves.

You settle into your suite, explore the grounds, and Chef Talo hosts another gourmand dinner experience. Dinner has truly become a highlight of the day.

Day 7

You delight in breakfast at Tipiliuke — the ingredients are sourced from the local orchard. Truly farm-to-table.

So many activities to choose from! Do you go hunting? Fishing? Birding, rafting, then hiking?

Most importantly: do you pack a picnic to continue enjoying the day’s activities or come back to enjoy the welcome lunch?

In the afternoon, a group goes exploring the town of San Martín de los Andes while you indulge in a breathtaking mountain bike ride.

For dinner, Chef Talo presents a stunning array of local delicacies. And then…

Tango lessons! A fun and romantic treat for all.

The town of San Martín de los Andes from a ridge in the surrounding mountains.

Day 8

To start the day, another stunning breakfast at Tipuliuke.

What activity shall it be today? The group is going on an afternoon horseback ride — there is a special destination picked out — but the Jack Nicklaus Golf Course is just up the road…

This evening, the choice is easy — a ride in one of the resort’s vehicles to partake in an unforgettable experience: a romantic sunset picnic, replete with wine pairings and all the accoutrements. You sip world-class wine and watch the evening colors fade behind the wild beauty of Patagonia as a huge campfire burns.

Day 9

Breakfast on the terrace soaking up the last of the views.

A farewell lunch experience on the Tipuliuke grounds before being escorted to the local Chapelco airport for our private flight back to Buenos Aires.

Back in the beautiful city, you decide to do some light shopping, perusing, and relaxing around Buenos Aires.

For dinner, Chef Talo and the Palace staff surprise you with a treat: a VIP dinner at the exquisite Palacio Duhau.

Sunset over Tipiliuke Lodge.

Day 10

This morning, a you choose a final breakfast al fresco overlooking the gardens at Palacio Duhau and a spa treatment to fully relax before the flight.

A luxury car escorts you to the Buenos Aires international airport for a smooth and tension-fre flight back home.

The trip around Argentina has ended, but you are left with the best memories of this unforgettable journey.
